Cookies and local storage

The short version
We set no cookies. If you choose Light or Dark, your browser remembers it using local storage on your device. Choosing System removes it. There is no cookie banner, because the one thing we store does not need your consent in the UK.

What we store

That is the whole list. We use no other browser storage (such as session storage or IndexedDB) and no cookies of any kind, ours or anyone else’s.
What we do not use
- Analytics or measurement tools.
- Advertising or tracking tools.
- Social buttons, embedded video or maps.
- Fonts or scripts from other sites. Fonts are served from our own domains.
No page asks another site for anything. No response sets a cookie. The only entry written to your device is the one in the table.
Why this needs no consent in the UK
In the UK, storing something on your device normally needs your consent (regulation 6 of the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003). Since 5 February 2026 there is an exception in Schedule A1 to those regulations, which the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 added. It covers storage whose only purpose is to adjust how a service looks or works to your preferences, where you get clear and complete information, as on this page, and a simple, free way to object. The way to object is below.
How to object or remove it
- Press System in the theme control. It is in the footer of every page. This removes the entry for that site.
- Clear the site data. In your browser’s settings, look for “site data”, “website data” or “cookies and site data”, find mobixify.com and appstore.mobixify.com, and remove them.
- Never write it. If you do not press Light or Dark, the site follows your device’s light or dark setting and stores nothing.
It is free, and you do not need to give a reason.
