what-we-do

What we do

We design, engineer, publish and run mobile apps, games and web products. Here is the work, in the order a product needs it.

What we make

Mobile apps and games

We make apps and games for iPhone, iPad and Android. We start from the screen people hold: touch, small displays and short moments. We handle the whole path, from concept and design to code, store assets and release.

Web products

We build web applications and the services behind them: the interface, the application logic, the data and the hosting. The same studio designs, builds and runs them, so what works on the screen also works behind it.

How we make it

Product design

We design the flow before the screen. Who is this for, what did they come to do, and what can we leave out? From there we draw the interface, the interactions and the visual identity, and the graphics a store listing needs.

Engineering

We write mobile, web and backend code so that the next person can read and maintain it, including us in a year. Automated checks run before a release goes out, and servers and releases are built from scripts so that a release can be repeated.

After the build

Publishing and operations

We prepare store listings and release notes, submit releases to the app stores, run the services behind a product and answer the messages people send us.

Continuous improvement

A release is where learning starts. We read feedback and reviews, test what we ship, and send small, regular updates rather than rare large ones.

Working with others

Most of this work is on our own products. We are open to collaborations: a project with another team, an idea you want to test, or a partnership.
